Browne hangs up boots
Thursday September 09 2010
Waterford's Tony Browne has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling after 19 seasons.
Browne (37) bows out without that elusive All-Ireland medal, but he did win every other honour in the game.
He won Munster SHC titles in 2002, 2004, 2007 and this year - as well as an NHL medal in 2007.
Browne also collected three All-Star awards and was voted Hurler of the Year in 1998.
At club level, he won seven Waterford SHC medals with Mount Sion and a Munster club championship medal in 2002.
