Galway battle to Offaly victory

Galway had to work hard for a four-points NHL win over Offaly at Pearse Stadium - eventually running out with a 1-22 to 1-18 success.
The Tribesmen led by 1-13 to 1-8 at half-time, with their goal coming from Aidan Harte.
Offaly battled gamely in the second half and took advantage of some shaky Galway defending to cut the deficit, but the home side held on for a third win, despite the absence of the Portumna contingent.
They are now level at the top of the Division One table with Cork.
