EU leaders to hold jobs summit

European Leaders are to hold a special jobs summit in May.
New rules to deal with the banking and financial sectors are also expected to be put in place when EU Prime Ministers and heads of state meet in June.
EU leaders committed themselves to spend ?400bn to beat the recession.
According to the Taoiseach, a special ?5bn package will be beneficial to the country.
?150m of that sum will be spent on a special electricity inter-connector between Ireland and Wales.
Brian Cowen said other funds are available for broadband provision.
A special Summit to create jobs will take place here in May.
