NIGHT Owl left Redz and headed over to Sarsfields where there was an 80s feel around the pub.

The 80s band 'Relax' was set to take the stage later on in the night and the people of Drogheda came to Sarsfields ready to boogy the night away.

On entering the pub we bumped into three ladies who were very keen to get the 80s night underway. Jade Farrell and Mary and Melissa Campbell all from St Finian's Park had been looking forward to the night all week and couldn't wait to hit the dance floor.

Mary, who is a regular in Sarsfields, thinks that is a great pub and admitted that 'she wouldn't drink anywhere else.'

Jade and Melissa planned on staying in Sarsfields for a good part of the night before heading over to the Star and Cresent for a few more drinks.

We then snapped two lads who also enjoy going to Sarsfields at the weekends. Reuben Everitt from Drogheda and Matthew Perrill from the Chord Road were planning on making the night a late one and hoping to head to Earth later on in the night.

Night Owl then made their way across the room and meet up with four lads who were definitely making the most of the weekend.

Sean Calam, Alan Halpenny, Damien Callan and Paddy Rath all from Annagassan had been out the previous night at a 30th birthday and decided to carry on the partying this Saturday night.

'We were out last night and we decided to come out tonight as well. We will probably head over to McHugh's in a while and then see where the night takes us,' said Sean.

The gang were in great spirits and it was certain they were going to have another brilliant night.

We then made our way out to the beer garden where we met up with the singer of the band performing on the night. Leanne Faye from Congress Avenue was joined by her family and friends who came to see her perform and to enjoy the 80s night.

Pictured on the night was Leanne's sister Siobhan Moore from Castle Manor with Johnny and Valerie Fahy from Monasterboice and Veronica Dunne from Drogheda. They were all really looking forward to the night and especially seeing Leanne on the stage.

Leanne was pictured with her boyfriend Jason Fahy from Monasterboice who came to see his girlfriend sing.

Leanne admitted that she was nervous as the other venues that she has played in weren't in Drogheda and she was going to see familiar faces while up there performing. Also there to support Leanne on the night was her brother-in-law Peter Moore from Castle Manor who was pictured with his brother, the former River Dance performer David Moore.
