THE Louth X Factor series is gathering pace at Club Luna in Ardee with the various heats taking place over the past number of weeks.
The finals start on February 19th at the Muldoon's venue and are sure to attract great crows, especially when you consider the prizes on offer. It's a recording session in a top studio with top musicians and the whole value of the prizes on offer, some e10,000!
Needless to say, some top singers have entered so far and the judges have had quite a task to select the finalists but from what I've seen, there's a few names to watch for.
One of those is Mary McCormack. Mary is an exceptional singer with a real country flavour. She has competed in the likes of the Irish karaoke championships and for me, will be one of the favourites.
But she might not have it all her own way. Niamh Murtagh, at just 17, is another young lady intent on a big career and add in Tresa, Sinead and Caroline Tynan and the field is still a very open one.
If you want a good night out, the Louth X Factor is well worth taking a look at.
