Ballapousta group doing great work
Wednesday March 17 2010
WELL done to the Ballapousta cemetery committee for some more great work.
The group recently spent some time planting a shelter bed of trees in the new graveyard at Ballapousta.
Special envelopes were available in the local churches last weekend for any donations people wanted to make in relation to the cost of the project. To those that did donate, many thanks.
There's always time
to

donation

so make wish.
The committee would like to thank all those who helped in the actual planting of the trees.
They would also like to congratulate Mrs Mag Reilly of Oberstown who received a certificate and medal from Cardinal Brady at the recent Confirmation for her outstanding work and dedication to duties in Ballapousta church over numerous years.
THERE were a few stars of the furture in action at the GAA Grounds in Drogheda recently during the half-time interval between Louth and Cavan in the NFL. The Hunterstown under 8s looked the part under mentors Sean Clarke and John O'Callaghan and their line up included Max Clarke, Sam O'Callaghan, Jamie O'Callaghan, Finn Kelly,Tom Kelly, Conor O'Brien, Evan McSwiney, Jamie Ward, Chloe Lynch, Isabelle Garvey, Cillian Henry, Robin Dickson, Luke Birch, Alan Durnin, Peter Halpenny, Richard Rogers.
I should also mention that the Mattock under 10s were also there and featured Dara Myers, Danny Morse, Adam Grimes, Finn Madden, Ben Quaile, Cathal Fleming, Oisin McKenna, Ross Fitzsimons and Craig Englishby with Barry Englishby, the mentor.
