Development Perspectives seek local volunteers
A LOCAL educational group, which works in partnership with organisations across Ireland, Europe, Asia and Africa, is seeking volunteers to help drive their cause.
Development Perspectives, based in Barlow House on Narrow West Street, is looking for energetic and enthusiastic people who are interested in learning more about development issues to get involved in the 2012 Development Education programme.
In the summer of 2011 a number of educational programmes and physical workcamps were held in Uganda and Tanzania. The workcamps gave Irish participants the opportunity to work within a local community on a project that was chosen as beneficial by the local people.
The programme will take place over eight months, through three phases, two of which will take place in Ireland and one of which will include an overseas placement in Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
The closing date for applications is 24th February.
For any further information or to get involved in the programme call ( 087) 7631412.
