QUIZ NIGHT
There will be a quiz night on Friday, February 24 in the Tollstone, Duleek, starting at 8 p.m. in aid of Mount Hanover National School. There can be a maximum of 5 persons per team, at a cost of €5 per person. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
BLOOD WEDDING
Duleek Drama Players Present 'Blood Wedding', directed by Emily Thomson, in the Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda. Commencing on Monday, February 20, the show will run nightly at 8 p.m. until Saturday, February 25. The proceeds from the show on Wednesday, February 22, will go towards Duleek Parish, while on Friday, February 24, proceeds will go to the Duleek Community (Courthouse Project). Tickets are €12 and available at 041-9833946. There will be a direct bus to the play available from the Village green on Friday, February 24. A seat on the bus is just €3. DAFFODIL DAY
The Irish Cancer Society are looking for volunteers to sell daffodils in various towns and villages throughout Meath on Friday, March 23. Fundraising can vary significantly, you can assist with selling daffodils, but you could also help the fundraisers by delivering buckets and daffodils. If you would like to help out contact the Meath Volunteer Centre on 0469280790.
CHARITY PANCAKE DAY
Duleek Pharmacy are hosting a charity pancake day on Tuesday, February 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All the proceeds will go towards palliative cancer care. All welcome.
WRITERS GROUP
The recently formed 'Limetree Creative Writing Group' will hold their next session on Tuesday, February 21, in the Library at 6.45 p.m. The group now have a full complement of members, but anyone wishing to join in the future should leave their name and contact details with David or Iris in the Library should a vacancy arise.

KIDS' HOLIDAY CLASSES
Co. Louth VEC is running Easter Activity Schools in both cookery and creative writing during the school holidays from April 10 to 13.The cookery school will be held in O'fiaich College, Dundalk and is aimed at 8-13 year olds. The creative writing school will be held in St. Oliver's Community College, Drogheda and is ideal for younger people wishing to explore their own writing interests. ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The group will hold a table quiz on February 22 in the Parish Centre. Ballroom dancing classes will start on Wednesday, March 7. New members always welcome. Contact Matilda on 9823322 or Brenda on 9844309.
HERITAGE GROUP
The group is holding a presentation with Ben Ryan on Monday, March 5, at 8.30 p.m. in the Prayer Rooms on 'In my father's time' and 'The Eucharistic Congress of 1932'. All welcome.
WOMAN'S FORUM
The Bring & Buy Sale held last Tuesday in aid of The Temple Street Hospital was a great success, raising €1220. There was a large display of home baking, marmalades and jams, a lovely selection of hand knitted and crocheted items, a small library of books and the amount of Bric-aBrac was amazing. There was also a raffle with numerous prizes including perfume, bottles of wines, sweets, toiletries, etc. The womens forum would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped out in any way.
DULEEK VILLAGE FAIR
Due to the success of the previous event, Duleek will be hosting their third Annual Village Fair in August 2012. A meeting will be held in the Parish Rooms on Wednesday, February 15, at 8 p.m. They would like to elect a steering committee and would welcome Stall Holders, Club Members and Participants. Please come and share your ideas and issues to help make this an even bigger and better community event.
GAELIC CLUB
Training for U12 boys and girls (born in 2000 and 2001) will start back on Wednesday, February 15, in Duleek pitch from 6-7 p.m. New and old players welcome. Contact Liam on 087-2246495 for further details.
The following are the results of this week's lotto results for February 7. There was no winner of this week's lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 9, 13, 22 and 30. The five winners of €20 were: Eugene Geraghty, Paddy Naughton, Declan Brodigan, Catherine Moore, Karl Mc Donnell. The following are the results of the Duleek AFC & Duleek SBGFC Lotto draw of February 7. The numbers drawn were 7, 18, 26 and 27. There was no jackpot winner. The three winners of €40 each were Ryan Lynch, Alan Molloy, Adam Rankin. The ten winners of €20 each were Tony Mcguinness, Gerry Mcauley, Sharon Lowthe and Margaret Lowthe. Next week's jackpot is €6,000, with a reserve jackpot of €2,300.
