WHAT an evening was had by the many Tullyallen people who turned up to see the Glen Emmets take on the Sean McDermotts in Ardee last Saturday night in the Junior Championship semi-final, writes PJ McGrane.

The great crowd at the match resulted in a fabulous atmosphere. The Emmets got off to a slow start and a goal late in the first half rattled the Tullyallen side. However in front of their many fans the Emmets fought back in the second half and eventually took the lead.

The tight game made it a thrilling encounter great to watch. Unfortunately a late point for the Sean McDermotts made the final score Glen Emmets 0-9, Sean Mc Dermotts 1-6, meaning that the game will have to be replayed.

However I think everyone in the village will be looking forward to another evening out. On behalf of the village best of luck to the Glen Emmets in the replay.
