Golf results spring league

THE third and final leg of the Spring League was played on Sunday of last week. The third leg Class 1 was won by Jim Craven with a 67 nett. Danny Black finished one shot adrift of Jim to take the runner up spot. Frank Flynn won the Gross with 73.
Class 2 was won by Kevin Smith with 65 nett, three shots clear of runner up David Lynch. Young Val Rock was third with 69.
The overall winner of Class 1 was John Mullen whose three round total of 210 level par was good enough to do the business. Frank Flynn was second with an overall total of 215. Class 2 was won by David Lynch (211) with Kieron Gough runner up on 214.
The 14/hole Stableford singles on Wednesday last was won by James P. McDonough with a score of 32 Stableford points. Phil Tuite was second, also on 32 points. The Gross was won by Alan Mullen (24 points) and Harry Barry on 31 points was in third position followed by Maurice O'Connor on 31 points.
