THE HISTORY of St Peter's National School and the overall Church of Ireland Community in Drogheda will be revealed in a very special historical project on Saturday.
The subject is covered in a book by Ricky Gerrard who outlines not just the history of the school building in Bolton Street but other Protestant schools which existed prior to the opening of St. Peter's.
The content of the book also includes many interesting articles relating to the history of the town and particularly the history that relates to the Church of Ireland community.
Many of the past pupils have submitted their school memories and they have collected an array of class photos, the earliest being from 1921.
