Irish Underwater Council annual conference
THE Irish Underwater Council (CFT) are delighted to announce the 6th Annual International Dive Show at the City North Hotel, Dublin on March 3rd and 4th.
This year's show will feature top-line scuba professionals including key note speaker Rory Golden, who in 2000 became the first Irish diver to visit the site of the shipwreck HMS Titanic returning for a second visit in 2005.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and Rory will be giving a series of talks on his experiences.
Also speaking will be Connie Kelleher of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht's underwater archaeology unit.
In 2010 Connie was involved in the discovery of two ship wrecks off the Donegal coast that are believed to be linked to the 16th Century Spanish Armada and 18th Century French Armada.
