Birthday full of fun for Linda's 40th
A BASH TO REMEMBER IN THE D HOTEL
Wednesday March 17 2010
DROGHEDA was full of birthday celebrations on Saturday last, when Night Owl took to the town to met two lovely ladies who were enjoying their 40th and 30th birthday parties respectively.
We first made our way to the d Hotel where Linda Cruise was having a birthday bash to remember with all her family and friends.
On entering the function room upstairs it was clear that many had come to enjoy the night. Pictured on the night were Jean Nugent from Rathmullen Park and Eamon Cruise from Mell. They had been looking forward to the night and were delighted to meet up with the other guests.
Good friends of Linda, Sally Kear, Gillian Plunket and Lorraine O' Brien all from Drogheda were pictured together having a ball. The gang have all been friends for years and meet up regularly on nights out. The ladies planned on hitting the dance floor as soon as the DJ started playing.
Another old friend of Linda's, Audrey Byrne, was also enjoying the celebrations. Audrey was there with her daughter Hannah and husband Dave on the night.
Audrey, who lives in Boyne Hall, met Linda when she moved from Dublin to Drogheda. Linda's daughter Kelly and Hannah have also been friends for years.
'The two girls met each other when they joined a dance group when they were younger and they have been friends ever since,' added Audrey. Hannah and Kelly were planning on showing off their dance moves on the floor later on in the night.
All of Linda's family were there on the night including her sister Maria King, brother Thomas Byrne, mam and dad Peg and Tom Byrne, husband Frank Cruise, sister and brother-in-law Eileen Byrne and Tommy King and son and daughter Kieron and Kelly Cruise.
Mam and dad, Peg and Tom, were having a brilliant night and couldn't believe that their second eldest was 40 already.
The birthday girl, whose actual birthday was the previous day, was definitely enjoying her birthday weekend. 'I'm having an absolutely great night and I'm planning on making the weekend of it, with even more celebrations on Sunday for Mother's Day!'
Linda had planned the night herself for weeks with the help of all her immediate family.
People came from all over the country to enjoy the night with her, including many of her old friends from Dundalk and Dublin.
Work colleagues of Linda's from Mell school were also there to celebrate. Linda wanted to thank everybody that came and for all the lovely presents she got and all the help she got in making the party happen.
