Crash brings traffic to halt

DROGHEDA'S early morning traffic was brought to a standstill after a serious accident on the Dublin Road, close to the Black Bull on Monday morning. According to gardaí, at approximately 7.45am, a vehicle hit the rear of a bin-lorry. One of the vehicle's passengers was trapped and had to be freed by emergency services. The passenger who received serious injuries is being treated in hospital.
