Drink sensibly on Paddy's Day appeal local Gardai
Wednesday March 10 2010
GARDA traffic restrictions will be place from 10am on St Patrick's Day to facilitate the parade and will remain until after 2pm. Diversions will be in place for traffic because the North Road, Cement Road, Windmill Road and Crosslanes will all be closed off. The town centre will be closed from 11am along with a number of side streets.
Appealing for people to enjoy the day and drink sensibly, gardai have said that they will lift the traffic restrictions as soon as possible. Garda traffic corp members will be on duty throughout the day and there will also be extra patrols in the town itself.
