Wednesday July 28 2010

THE second annual Drogheda Food Festival takes place on August 1415th with West Street set to host a weekend of fun and food.

While the main street will be the key location, there will be events and stalls at various sites around the town, all giving advice on everything from top cooking tips to how to grow your own.

There will be tasting sessions and a beer trail and one of the highlights will surely be a waiter's race around town. Artisan Producers and hospitality trade will jointly host the festival.

There's fun events for all the family on the waterfront including music, children's entertainment, celebrity cookoff and food-themed fun.

The festival spirit continues this weekend in Louth with the Ardee Turfman Festival running from Friday to Monday and the Ashville Vintage Show in Ballapousta on August 1st.

That all follows the highly successful return of the Clogherhead Prawn Festival two weeks ago which attracted thousands to the area.
