Marcella took to life in a new city with great ease

THE DEATH occurred recently of Mrs. Marcella Owens, Glendale, Lifford Gards, Ballinacurra, Limerick and formerly of Railway Terrace, Drogheda in the care of the Milford Nursing Home, Limerick.

Marcella moved to Limerick over 30 years ago when her late husband Paddy was transferred from Cement Ltd. in Drogheda to their new factory in Mungret, County Limerick.

She was very popular in her new surroundings and quickly became involved in the life of her adopted city.

She was closely associated with women's issues and was a very valued member of the St Joseph's Parish in O'connell Avenue, where she was involved in nearly all of the parish activities.

Marcella was predeceased by her husband, Paddy, and daughters Cecelia and Mary during the past five years.

Following Mass in St Joseph's Church, she was laid to rest with her husband Paddy in Castlemungret Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons Trevor, Martin ( Australia), Pat ( Reading UK), Marcella and Helen ( London).

May she rest in peace.
