Special Mass for bikers in Aghadrumsee
Wednesday March 17 2010
A MASS for those who have lost loved ones through motorbike accidents will take place in Fermanagh on Friday, May 7th.
The Gone But Not Forgotten Biker's Memorial 2010 will take place at 8pm on Friday, May 7th in St Macartan's Church, Aghadrumsee, Roslea, County Fermanagh.
The Mass has been organised by a Monaghan group who have also erected a memorial commemorating all those who have died on motorbikes in the area, including three young people from Louth.
The idea for the biker's Memorial Mass came from Teresa Boyle, who had a mass organised in her house in memory of her brother Patrick (RIP).
Teresa and Fr John Kearns (himself a biker) discussed the idea of having a Memorial mass in memory of all those who had died over the years.
They hope the Mass will provide comfort and support to families who have lost loved ones and will also encourage bikers to think of their own safety and ride accordingly.
