Dreadnots 2-12 St Bride's 0-7 PLAYED on Saturday evening in Clogherhead, Dreadnots had the luxury of county panelists Paraic Smith, Liam Shevlin and James Califf at the their disposal, and raced into a 1-5 to no score lead after 25 minutes. It was 1-6 to 0-4 score at the break. Dreadnots made a quick start in the second half and went into a 10 point lead, thanks in the main to a : Liam Shevlin goal, 2-8 to 0-4.

There followed an exchange of points, 2-9 to 0-7, before Dreadnots accounted for three more to run out comfortable winners. Kilkerley Emmets 0-11 Oliver Plunkett's 1-8 A LATE Conal McGeough free rescued a point for Kilkerley in this closely-fought Group A game at Pairc Emmiti last Friday.

The home side will looking to make it two wins in three days following their 2-12 to 19 success over St Mochta's, but at half-time Seamus O'Hanlon's Plunkett's had the edge – 0-6 to 0-4.

Kilkerley rallied after the break as the Drogheda men struggled to get scores, but with three minutes left a Plunkett's player was pulled down as he went through on goal and substitute John Moroney coolly dispatched the resulting penalty – 1-8 to 0-10.

Plunkett's victory hopes were dashed, though, by Conal McGeough's late intervention.

Best for Kilkerley were Fintan Clarke, James Fagan, Donal McElroy and Niall Lennon, while the pick of the Drogheda men were Frank Brian Gavin Taaffe, Frank Daly, Fitzpatrick and Sullivan. THE firepower of Roche Emmets was the difference between these sides as they easily brushed aside the challenge of visitors St Mochta's last Thursday night.

In a fast, open game played in good weather conditions, the scoreline would have been worse from Mochta's point of view had their goalkeeper not made two fine saves.

It was 1-7 to 0-4 at halftime, the Roche goal coming from Gerry Murphy.

Although Mochta's began the new half with a point in the first minute, Roche went on to outscore them to lead 113 to 0-9 early in the fourth quarter; and Mochta's had no more to offer.
