The Joes led by 2-2 to 1-3 at half-time, but Baile Talún took a stranglehold mid-way through the second half and with five minutes left the Tallanstown boys were two points ahead and should have closed the game out.

But they opted to go for goals on three occasions instead of putting the ball over the bar, there was no way past the Joes keeper and this lack of composure cost them the match as the Joes hit three easy points in the dying minutes.
