Cooley Kickhams 1-13 Hunterstown Rovers 0-5 NINE different players, including the entire half back line, registered scores as Cooley Kickhams strolled to their second win at Hunterstown last Saturday evening.

Early points from Declan McGuinness and Sean McDonald set the Peninsula men on their way and the first half ended with Hunterstown trailing by 0-8 to 0-3.

Any chance of a way back for Hunterstown ended when Conor Dullaghan, a secondhalf substitute, netted a fine goal soon after being introduced.

Darren White had a fine match for the Kickhams until forced to retire with a facial injury, as did Ross Dullaghan, Frank Murphy, Declan McGuinness and Sean McDonald..

Best for Hunterstown, whose entire five-point haul came from Landy – mostly frees – were Alan Fedigan and Thomas Donegan.

REFEREE: Tommy Byrne. Newtown Blues 3-7 Geraldines 0-13 NEWTOWN Blues had a closer game than the previous week on Saturday evening in McGeough Park, but still had enough to see off Geraldines.

The visiting team led at the break on a 1-5 to 0-5 scoreline.

Best for the winners were Paul Moore, Cormac Reynolds, Niall Costello and Ray Hughes, while Gers got good performances from Paudi Hoey, Jim McEneaney and John Lynch.

REFEREE: Gerry Malone. Naomh Mairtin 3-5 Dundalk Young Irelands 1-7 NAOMH Mairtin supplemented their victory against Hunterstown Rovers with a four-point margin over Dundalk Young Irelands in Dundalk on Friday evening.

Despite being without Francis Mc Cullough and Mark McCormack, Mairtins twice showed in front by eight points but Irelands closed each time without ever threatening a first win in the competition.

Nicky McDonnell (2) and Greg Fahy netted for the winners.
