Perfect Furze cruise to a second victory
Wednesday March 03 2010
SENESCHALSTOWN have restarted where they left off at the latter end of last season and they completely blitzed visitors Trim in this one-sided encounter last Sunday.
Darren Fay's Trim side were somewhat understrength but it's doubtful if they would have lived with the county champions with a full strength side.
The opening quarter was closely contested but after that there was only one side in it and at half-time the hosts led 3-6 to 0-3.
Tommy Ledwidge, Shane Clarke and Damien Sheridan all found the net in the second quarter as the winners built up an unassailable lead.
Paul Gilsenan pulled a goal back for Trim within minutes of the restart but that was as good it got, as the town side went on to lose by a wide margin for the second time in as many league outings.
Gary Conlon and Adam Gleeson goaled in the second half as the Yellow Furze side secured their second win of the campaign.
