Drogheda trio debut

THREE girls from Drogheda and District AC made their club debuts in the beautiful Skryne Valley last Friday as Tara AC held its first 5k road race.
The Drogheda club has been expanding beyond all expectations with new people joining every week and now boasts almost 100 registered senior members, making it by far the biggest athletic club ever in the town.
Carmel Keenan clocked 24:20, Jillian Munnelly 27:57, Eilis Joyce 28:01 and Cathy Joyce 30:24, while Des Feeney was the first Drogheda man home in 20:21, followed closely by Ciaran Doyle.
