IN-FORM Abbey Celtic boosted their promotion prospects with this comprehensive win over the bottom club.
Two close-range strikes by Robert Cooney in the fifth and sixth minutes gave Mosney a mountain to climb, but to their credit they made it to half-time without conceding again.
However, the Abbey back four and keeper David Walsh prevented the visitors from getting on the scoresheet, and in the second half two goals from Salem Rifaie and a superb 30-yard chip by Damien Boyle completed the rout.
Abbey now lie second in the table on goal difference and have two games in hand on leaders Kingscourt.
