A LAST-MINUTE goal-line clearance denied Boyne Rovers all three points in this thrilling NDSL Under-12A clash at St Joseph's on Sunday.
Tolka are top of the division, but Rovers matched them and went close in the early stages through Fergal Donoghue, Conor Noone and Ewen McArdle.
Both teams played some lovely football, but Boyne's other chance of the first half came from a long ball by Conor Ayson which ended with Conor Finnegan being denied by the Tolka netminder.
At the other end, Boyne keeper Luke O'Kane dived fulllength to stop a 25-yard shot.
In the second half both sides pushed for a winner, with McArdle and substitute John O'Connor prominent for the home side. And in the final seconds a Tolka player cleared Ross Guildea's goal-bound free kick off the line.
Best for Boyne were O'Kane, Guildea, Ayson, O'Connor and Luke O'Brien.
