FIRST-DIVISION Dromin booked their place in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals with this narrow win at Meadowview on Sunday afternoon.
Chord, who are unbeaten in Division 3A of the league, played some good football throughout but rarely looked like scoring when they gained possession in the last third of the field.
Once again it was Fabio Teles who provided the ammunition for Dromin, and it was his headed goal from a Tommy O'Hare corner in the 15th minute that ultimately proved decisive.
Teles could have given the visitors a more comfortable half-time cushion, but fluffed his effort after being put through by Dean McLoughlin.
In the second half Anto McLoughlin fired his only chance wide, before substitute David Donovan struck the Chord crossbar.
