Dromin leave it too late

SUNDAY morning's meeting of Drogheda Town and Dromin United was a typical Under-11 Cup game, with both teams demonstrating great skill and playing end-toend football.
In a second round game which was switched to Dromin, Town took the lead on the stroke of half-time with a great strike from Lee Dowd.
On the restart, Drogheda piled on the pressure straightaway and doubled their advantage with a goal from Jamie Brennan.
Dromin came back with a fine strike from outside the box to make it 2-1, only for Town to restore their two-goal advantage when Lee Dowd went on a great run and crossed into the path of Padraig Donnelly who provided the finish.
Dromin pressed on with another goal, but it just wasn't enough on the day as they ran out of time.
