AS far as Jamie Duffy was concerned, Drogheda allowed two points slip away against his former club.
He was brought into the game after only seven minutes when Corey Treacy suffering a serious-looking head injury and he helped make life very un-comfortable for Dundalk's defence in the first half.
It was his reverse pass into the box to Brendan McGill that led to Drogheda taking a 2-0 lead. Linesman Marc Douglas spotted the hand-ball that led to a spot kick being awarded against Tom Miller when McGill's cross struck him.
Duffy said: 'McGill, when he crossed it, he wasn't sure whether it was a peno. I think it was ball to hand; the same with Kinger. I don't think they were penos, but there is nothing you can do about it.
'We had chances in the first half to go three up. The second half I thought we were comfortable as well, but it seemed like he (referee) wanted to even it up. I couldn't see whether it was a handball.'
And on the Michael Daly red card, Duffy said: 'It was a soft sending-off. It was silly to kick the ball away.' After that struggled badly.
'That's three times we have come up here and had a man sent off with a lot of time to play. At two nil up and down to 10 men we were comfortable until the peno.
'It's difficult low.
He said after the heavy home defeat to UCD, his side 'wanted to get back and show that wasn't us last week, and we did. We played very well.
'Obviously going down to 10 men was difficult. Still we stuck together and did what we could and we feel maybe that we were a bit unlucky.'
