Five-star Woodview issue title warning
MDL PREMIER DIVISION DULEEK...................................0 WOODVIEW.............................5

WOODVIEW – league runners-up last season – sent out a fearsome message of intent as they inflicted a damaging defeat on fellow Meath and District League title contenders Duleek at the Tollstone on Sunday afternoon.
Mickey O'Kane was the chief destroyer, netting four goals as Woodview made a flying start, taking the lead after just twelve minutes. But all-round it was an impressive team performance from the Dundalk side, who played 39 minutes with 10 men following the harsh dismissal of Owen Armstrong.
From the off the visitors made their intentions known, playing the ball around with great composure on a tight pitch and good work by Conor Murphy and Paul Warnock down the left saw Anto Reilly tee up O'Kane who made no mistake.
Woodview were two-up 15 minutes later when O'Kane was fouled in the box before dusting himself down to fire home the spot-kick.
The former Dundalk striker completed his hat-trick seven minutes before the break, volleying home a Warnock corner at the far post, to leave Duleek with no way back.
The home side did push forward after the break and Armstrong's dismissal six minutes in would have given Paddy Reilly's side a sliver of hope. However, Woodview sealed the points on the hour when a Duleek defender handled in the box and O'Kane coolly slotted the penalty past Keith Martin.
The home side were determined to get some reward for their efforts, but it was Woodview who had the final say on 83 minutes when a Stephen Grimes header from an O'Kane cross was well saved by Martin and Marius Jakisos followed up to blast home his side's fifth.
While putting a severe dent in Duleek's title aspirations, the win means Woodview can go top if they win their games in hand over the topthree of Carrick Rovers, Rock Celtic and Trim.
