Four-midable O'Connor hands Boys flying start
DEBUTANT Sean O'Connor was the star of the show with four goals as Drogheda Boys survived a shaky first few minutes to make a winning start to their DDSL Under-15 Major Division campaign last Sunday.
Strikes from Patrick Mboyo and O'Connor ensured the sides turned around at the interval on level terms – 2-2 – after the Drogheda defence had earlier conceded two soft goals.
And the Boys continued that momentum in the second half as Conor Cusack got on the scoresheet before O'Connor took centre stage, finding the net on three occasions.
Mboyo looked dangerous throughout the contest and thanks to some clinical finishing across the front three, Drogheda finished comfortable winners.
