BBS UNDER-12 LEAGUE DROGHEDA TOWN.........................4 DULEEK..........................................3

Wednesday March 10 2010

THIS top-of-the-table Under-12 Division 1 clash saw Town come from behind three times to take the points from an exciting game that could have gone either way.

Duleek were first to score, but within five minutes Tommy Dennis chipped the ball over the keeper to equalise – only for Duleek to score again at the other end and assume a 2-1 half-time lead.

In the second half Town's Dean Fitzpatrick sent in a fantastic ball from the corner and Paul Maguire tapped it past the keeper to level the sides once more.

Duleek scored again at the other end, but then Jack Gorman turned the game on its head once more to score twice, making it 4-3 in his side's favour.

Johnnie White, between the sticks for Drogheda Town, had to be quick off his line several times to clear, working well with his back four, but it was Town's midfield who put in the greatest effort, with the tireless Gorman getting the nod as man of the match.
