Mulroy strikes a Chord

CHORD's unbeaten record remained intact after this eventful clash, and a draw was probably a fair result.
In the first half Andrew Garry headed against the post from a corner, while his keeper Keith Fox had to pull off two fine saves as the interval came with the game still deadlocked.
With the elements now in their favour, Chord deservedly went ahead when an Eoghan Mulroy free was headed into his own net by the home centre-half under pressure from Garry.
But after conceding a soft free kick, Chord were pegged back by a well-worked Bailieboro equaliser.
In the closing stages, Cormac Reid shot off the crossbar, Bailieboro missed a penalty and Chord thought they should have had a spot kick when Ciaran Garry seemed to be upended.
