GROVE Red gained sweet revenge for a recent defeat by Ardee Lions with this fine home win in Division 1 of the Under10 League.
Aaron Green opened the scoring for the home side with a fine goal after only three minutes of play, hitting an unstoppable strike past the helpless Ardee keeper.
Declan Heavey and Colin Nolan went close to extending Grove's advantage as they kept up the pressure on the Ardee goal.
At the other end great defending by Stephen Doran, Christopher Duff and Jamie Lynch, together with fine goalkeeping from Daniel Gray, ensured chances for Ardee were restricted to the minimum.
Temitope Oluwole was in top form for Grove in midfield and he crowned an impressive performance with two welltaken goals to ensure that all three points stayed in Drogheda.
Others who did well for the winners were Lee Campbell and Stefan Flood.
