STEPHEN Campbell took his tally of goals to four in two games as Under-20 League leaders Drogheda United continued their great run at Hunky Dorys Park on Monday night.
Campbell popped up at the back post to convert a cross in the first half, only for Monaghan to level soon after the interval. Drogheda retained their composure, though, and their young striker grabbed the winner on 70 minutes with a sweet 14-yard strike.
The victory secured a place in the league's knockout stages with three games to spare and Chris Malone's side look well placed to earn a home draw in the quarter-finals. DROGHEDA UTD: Alex Reilly; Conor Healy, Eric Brown, Ciaran Hoey, Derek Kierans; Conor Brannigan, Kevin Ross, Philip Kavanagh, Ronan McEnteggart; Colm Smyth, Stephen Campbell. Subs: Sean O'Rourke for Smyth, Chris Kerr for Kavanagh, Ashley Hawthorn for Brannigan.
